The beach is tropical with white sand which is great for walking, looking for seashells, or just lounging in your lounge chairs.
The water is the clear turquoise water like you find along the northwest Florida area. There are many different thing happening
all year round to make this great area, it can get hot, the sun is bright, but the water is great and you can find your way in and

to get around. One thing about this area that is great is that do offer a trolley service that runs up and down the beach from the
St. Pete Beach area to the Clearwater beach area, which runs all day and is very inexpensive. You can pick up a trolley map,
which show the multiple stops at many different places along the beaches.The area of Treasure Island was originally settled in
small communities by the Timucua around 300 CE. The Timucua traded with other Indian tribes in the area until the arrival of
Pánfilo de Narváez in 1528. De Narváez decimated the people and countless numbers of birds before leaving the area in search
of gold.
